Default cash for old engines

hey all,

does anyone know a place where i can get some cash for my old 3.9l mpi engine?

i was thinking rocyclers (i think that was their name) however all the google searches have revealed is car body recycling. nothing about engine crushing/recycling.

any ideas would be great as i dont wanna leave it to land fill....plus a few $$ wouldnt go a stray hehe

thanks
brad

Do they have Sims Metal where you are? They would recycle it and give you some money for it, in QLD I know they would anyway.

You could always try selling it on here, you might get $50 to $100 if you're lucky.

at the place where i did my automotive cert 1, i pulled some old motors apart for them and seperated the aluminium, steel and plastic so they could recycle it but from what i can remember they didn't get much money from a car trailer load

thanks guys.
yeah ill strip the good bits off (85A alternator & my 500km old leads & plugs) but the engine has a failed head gaskit so i dont think it would be worth much to someone. plus ive stripped all the looms off the engine as well.

but we will see what happens.

thanks again
brad
