I've seen a few cars in magazines funning a hose clamp around the oil filter just wondering why this is done??

Has to be done to drag race on a proper track, is to stop the filter spinning off and spraying oil everywhere

I got harassed for not having one last time at the track. Little things that you pick up on the way. Need to hold oil breathers and dipsticks down too.

Yeh my dipsticks have springs and my oil breathers are screw ons. Will have to get the hose clamp before the Nostalgia drags.

I thought it would be more common sense to restrain dipsticks, filters and breathers. Even if it isn't a rule, for your safety it should be done.
