Question Ford Factory Alarm

I am having some dramas with my ford factory alarm system. I had it in my car, and had to disconnect the battery terminal, i did so, once i re-connected the terminal, the alarm goes off and i dont know howto stop it, ive tried opening and closing doors with the remote locking and the key, triggering sensors... cant seem to make it work properly. Ive disconnected the battery many times, and had no issues, but i imagine there is a way to reset the alarm or somthing? Anyone had this problem before and can give me a hand?
(My car is a Fairmont ED)

Any ideas welcome!

It sounds like you have an aftermarket alrm in there somewhere possibly working off your smartlock system. The smartlock system isn't actually an alarm, just an immobiliser basically. It doesnt have any siren or anything along those lines.

it'll be a Vision alarm made for Ford by Vision. It'll be old skool and you probably won't be able to get parts for it anymore. Is the siren mounted on a bracket on the strut tower on the driver's side? There should be a siren key that will let you turn off the battery back up.

The problem might be simple like the fuse for the alarm has blown under the dash and now the battery back up siren is kicking in. Or else it could be worse such as a voltage spike has damaged the module. Check under the driver's dash, these old Ford alarms have about 6-7 fuses all in a row in black fuse holders. Just make sure the fuses are ok.

Otherwise, you could give Vision a call. they are located in Tullamarine just look em up in the yellow pages.
