Well, I started a thread in both the Tickford and For Sale Sections but thought that any AU bretheran who have aspired to own one of these cars shouldn't miss this opportunity.........
i am parting with my most beloved material possession. I'm not happy about it but I must do it. I have owned her since brand new in August of 2002 and have personalised her in good taste, to the point where it's by far the most powerful naturally aspirated T3 that we know of. It is simply awesome to drive. A (very) abridged version of the features is as below: 8/2002 Ford T3 TE50 ·Blueprint (currently without the stripes, can be re-done) ·Worked 5.6L EFI Windsor engine- approximately 370kw/500hp @ 6,000rpm and 600nm/442ft lbs torque at 4,250rpm (400hp and 380ft lbs on the ground) ·Tremec TR3650 5 speed manual (replaced 500km ago) ·Brembo brakes ·Koni Suspension ·Premium Sound (aftermarket stereo fitted but original Premium sound can be included too) ·Enkei RPO3 lightweight racing alloys- 18x8.5” fronts and 18x9.5” rears ·Yokohama ADVAN Sport AVS103 asymetric tyres- 255/35R18 front and 275/35R18 rear ·Tinted windows, Nokia Handsfree kit, $5,000+ stereo system ·Heaps of extras ·149,000km- one owner, full service history, very lovingly cared for. $43,000.00 ono (WA- no roadworthy required here so none provided, great car but probably not 100% legal) Now, it's not a bargain, but it is a very special car. I am happy to work with the prospective buyer to come to an agreeable arrangement to make ownership easier- just let me know. I would rather do this and find an owner I feel is worthy of owning her I do not want to sell it to just anybody. I have been a part of these and the old .com forums for a while now and feel it's as close to selling her to a family member as I'll get- which is what I want. I would rather give you guys n girls the courtesy of letting you know it's available before anyone else. I will advertise it on carsales.com.au and the papers in the next couple of weeks. I know I'll be sorry but my situation can not be helped. Sadly, my pride and joy must become the obsession of a new owner.......... PM or ring me on the mobile of 0417 982 104 any time at all. Mods can delete this if they feel that another thread on these forums in unnecessary, I would just like to target the right people with the car.......... I will just add one pic for dial-up members More here. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=107303

Sad Sad day mate. I loved reading through your build thread.
Im sure you have a very very good reason for selling but I cant imagine what you must be feeling mate. Good luck with everything and hopefully the new buyer will love it and look after it as good as you did. Damn I wish I could get a big *** loan haha

That was the first real outing for the car- I'm confident it'll definatley go more in a few weeks before I sell it...... Sounded nice on the dyno though eh mate?! I still smile when I watch the video ear to ear, I just love this car

Jamie,
Like so many others have said I would love to have this car, if only I had more equity in the house :P Sad to see you having to let it go, but these things are sent to test us in life. I must say that i have also enjoyed your build thread and have read every bit of it and applaud you in your decision and quest to build a tough Windsor and keep in N/A. hopefully one day I can build a similar engine for my XR8 All the best with the sale and I hope that things work out the best possible way they can for you. Cheers Tim |

Thanks for all the support everyone, it's really nice to know that I guess I've been a bit of inspiration to a few people. I've only ever really done this for myself to enjoy but to know that i've been able to share it with people who have learnt from my experience and enjoyed reading and seeing what has evolved really is fantastic.
I'd do it again if I could ever afford it- after buying the car new and doing what I've done, there's well over $100k I've invested in the car- knowing full well every dollar would never be able to be seen again. But I've loved it and I want to make it so that the next admiring owner can make it do what I set out to see it do- sub 12.5 sec 1/4's and awesome track times with nothing but praise for it's ability on the street, something that I can tell you will be unmatched by most things you'll ever pull up to........

The important thing was that I beat Danny Green, or even better- a Windsor beat a Boss (hehehehe) - that was the purpose of the day and I did that by a fair margin. Danny's car (a BA GT-P) spends a fair bit of it's time at Black Mac's for mods and tuning and the promo for the day was to beat Danny's car, which I did by over 30hp hehehe :evil3: ......

Thanks for the comments guys.
I have to get serious about selling the car now. All offers will be considered.

Swap for a 5 speed taxi! :togo: I would seriously stab somebody in the face to own that exquisite piece of engineering excellence! Sorry to be so graphic, but that is how much i love this car. You would have to be gutted to be letting it go. The second I win lotto, i will be breaking down your door! Good luck with the sale.

Just a heads up guys- I'm putting an ad on carsales.com, unique cars and the Auto Trader here in Perth.
The car will be sold and probably sooner than I would have liked. At this point I would say there would be no harm in making an offer. Would hate to think someone here missed out on the car and that it sold for (or less than) what someone here was prepared to pay. I really would prefer it went to someone who virtually knew the car. PM anytime and the mobile's never off.......
