We'll the times come to sell up the beast. Ive only had her for 6 months, but the fuel bill is killing me on my wage, so im goin back to the 4 bangers again.... unfortunatly.
Its a pretty rare car. Black manual and fully optioned, ex director of Alto fords car. Runs like a dream and in immaculate condition too!!

If any one knows any one interested in a great car. Please let us know

Well this is one "fad" that I have no intentions of becoming a part of for a long time yet :

I have a S2 SR on gas that I could swap. The fuel bill is actually cheaper than my 1.8 Laser I used to drive!

How many kays has the car done?

Cars done 130000k's. Just had service.

We'll on my wage, plus some other bills i have, every dollar counts to me. I LOVE this car. Ive always wanted this exact car!! But im not gunna give it away!! I'd rather keep the car and sell it for peanuts!

I had a turbo lancer and fuel bill was only bout 40-50 buks a week. Then i found this gem and couldnt resist it. The fuel bill in this is almost double that. I know its a v8 and i expected the fuel to be costly. But i gotta start savin for a house etc. Im only 19 i gotta get outa the folks house :P

Any more questions dont hesitate to ask guys.
Cheers

Is it fair to assume that you do a lot of kms per week? 80-100 bucks a week is massive. Of course driving with the right foot a little lighter MAY help the bill. I knom mine is only a 6 but I can guarentee you that I hammer the car, within road rules, for example I like to get to the maximum speed limit quickly, do a lot of city driving and my fortnightly fuel bill would be lucky to be 60 bucks.
Mate not trying to change your mind obviously, it's your choice and if you want to get away from the oldies I totally understand. Just seems a pity that you have the "exact car" you wanted and now have to let it go. Good luck.

I know my fuel bill is hopeless sometimes.. do close to 550k's a week travel to and from work, plus other things equate to around 600-620km a week.

Some weeks I will spend $70-80 in fuel, and some weeks I will spend $170-180.. for that same 600k's lol.

I do about 470k's which gets me through nearly a tank full of juice a fortnight only (hence why I stated that to Mr AUXR8 that he must do a fair few k's). Car is used everyday. I don't kill my car, I drive it sensible but I do enjoy the right foot and holding 2nd gear (auto) so I keep the reves up. Anyway this thread isn't about me.

yes put it on gas and keep it .i put mine on gas and i like to use the right foot and it only cost me 400 out of my pocket after the government gave me the 2 grand back and if you get the right system it won't be a great deal of difference in power .i do 1000-1500ks per fotnight and average 100-175 dollars of gas

I'd rather keep it on petrol. Not a fan of v8's on gas. Id rather sell it to someone who i know would keep it as is and not waste it on gas

Count me out! Converting to gas is the first thing I'd do if I purchased it.

All the best with your deliberations in any case.

Cheers,

Just cos you sell your dream car doesnt mean you cant buy another one sometime in the future.

I think you're making the right decision saving for a house. Sometime in the future you could track another AUXR8 (or by then have a new dream car)

if you want to save money on fuel get a 1982 Ford laser with the big block 1.3 liter on gas you would be lucky to spend $5 on gas a week
