Good idea - when I was originally looking at doing this, there weren't that many auto T series wrecks floating around, and I was trying to do it for a reasonable price, not the $1000's certain wreckers would have charged.

Blackers - No, never got them going, and the car is sold now.

When you bumped across to manual, it held 3rd, IIRC. It wouldn't hold first in the AU though, as the 1st gear valve or whatever wouldn't allow it to hold - at about 50km/h, you ended with a boxful of neutrals, and had to slow down and change up a gear before it would grab second. This was the major reason the buttons never got to final production - there was at least one set being tested on a "mule", but that's as far as it got, as you need to use the same valve or solenoid or whatever as the T series used (at around $500 a pop), which just made the whole thing a bit too expensive, for what was supposed to be a cheap option (under $500 total).
