Default Clear Side repeaters

Just a few pics of a cosmetic upgrade to my WQ LX.

Changeing the Orange Side Repeater to the XR4 Clear ones.

Item sourced from Ebay arround 13 Pound there are plenty there .... mine came with Orange Globes but i will be changing these out for the Chrome ones. Ie Chrome bulb that flashes orange.

Any how onto the pics. This is a very easy modification. Just take a few precautions to protect your paint.

Before shot:

Now make sure you protect your paintwork and take a regular teaspoon and leaver the lense out. Dont put too much leverage here the repater will slip from left to right or right to left before it pops out. If you have no luck one side try from the other side.

Make sure you dont drop the bulb holder back into the door skin else you will have a hell of a time fishing it back out.

I grabed a bit of cord and wrapped it arroung the bulb just incase. This pic is after fitting the new orrange Globe

Shot showing the two repeaters side by side.

Now the easy bit just pop it back in... Make sure you point the spring section of the repeater to the front of the car so you remember for future globe changes.

Thats it now put on your hazzard lights and bask in oraange hue that is the glory of the "Clear Side repeater".

Next week finally my Fog light upgrade. Its been a long time comming.
