Default Brake Calipers

Bit of a query about brake calipers, in a nutshell, when you upgrade brakes, is it possible to simply fit new calipers? I'm 99% sure it's not, but Im just trying to work out if for example I wanted to put Brembos on, would I be able to simply swap the calipers onto my existing setup?

As I said I'm pretty sure its not, but I'm just trying to work out whether a complete replacement kit would be needed.

Being a series 3 I think all you'll need is the callipers discs and hoses.

I already have 330mm upgrade on the fronts, and I am looking at going up to 4 piston calipers - this is why I was asking, because I can purchase calipers new seperately, and the rest of the gear is in ok condition.

If the discs are the same size as the new callipers are to suit they obviously don't need replacing.

Calipers and brackets will be needed as the Brembo upgrades i know of use a minimum 336mm rotor and AP Racing calipers use a 330mm rotor but 28mm thick.
