Default Chrome Exhaust Extensions, How do I fit it?

Went into Auto One the other day and picked up a chrome extension bit for the exhaust whilst purchasing a top idler pulley. Its one of those bits that fits right over the exhuast end and I was wondering whether there was any particular way to make it fit?

I tried sliding it on to the end of the exhaust but it seems to want some more force, how do I go about it without stuffing up?

Its a EF exhaust for some reason.

Please someone help me!!

Welcome to the forums dude ;)

To get the tip fitted and not have it fall off is to visit a exhaust place. They will fit and weld it on for around $15 like i just had today.

Thanks for the reply mate, I'll give a exhaust place a ring and see what they'll say.

It's a real pity that this new exhaust has a dodgy tip, but hey you get what you pay for I guess.

When I got one fitted to my first car, they just got a wedge of wood, put it wedge side into the tip, and used a hammer to hit the flat side of the wood and put it on that way

A guy I knew with an XD claimed his chrome tip added 14kw at the wheels (I'd believe him if he said at the fly though, naturally!). He also "won" a $70 bet regarding whether he could drive his XD to WA and back. And no, there was no reason for him to drive to WA from Victoria, such as a holiday, it was merely to prove a point! Calling Charles Darwin...

Yep its got the oval shape to it and once its done I'll fire up a pic.

I'm really tempted to grab the mallet and bash it on, but hey if its 15 bucks, its sure worth it in order to save a possible red face.

I guess if it's welded on, it won't have any chance of coming off, however if its a VERY tight fit like mine on my car was, it won't be going anywhere in any hurry
