Exclamation Help - Please Help With Ball Joints

Hi

Can someone one walk me thru the process of replacing the ball joints on my EA wagon? --- Your help is appreciated!

unless you got a press and the right press plates forget it,,if you can remove the steering knuckles and take them to a work shop and get them done that way,,

Cool how much?

How much do you think it should cost at mechanics including wheel alignment?

The only reason for asking is we live in a town where the mechanical bill for anything starts at $500!

Ok well I need my left lower ball joint done - and have decided to just get the whole arm replaced with both upper and lower bj on them. A straight swap is $199 fitted. And then it's on with 2 new tyres and then a wheel alignment - no more than $450 all up approx.

So tell your overpriced mechanic that

These ball joints... do they make a creaking/ cracking/ groaning sound when they are gone?? when i turn usually pretty slowly and pretty hard (not quite full lock tho) i can hear this noise... freaks me out but i have just put p with it..
