Hi All,
Just doing a few sums on a project I have in mind, and I'm wondering if anyone knows exactly how much of a sedan exhaust is useable in a wagon? I'm guessing somewhere up until the cat, or just past it is definitely useable, but what I'm wondering is with minimal chopping, and adding extra of course, can I use the rest of the sedan exhaust? Also, anyone know what the maximum pipe size that will clear over the diff in a wagon? Thanks, and appreciate any advice as always! Justin. |

Im pretty sure the center section can be used, its just the rear section as it has an extended section to get the tip out to the rear bar. You may be able to find a ute rear section i cant see why wagon and ute tail sections wouldnt be interchangable

Just a note just in case you didnt know EA-AU I6 are the same unless you have IRS....
Wagons are longer but should be the same upto the muffler before the diff

exhaust is the same from manifold to diff if you use fairlane, other wise the wagon is a bit longer then the falcon sedan. the tail pipe is wagon specific though. ute tailpipe will not fit. spare is in the way. i have a 2 1/4 system in mine, but i know you can get 2 1/2" over the diff.

3inch is the biggest I have seen on a ED, so should be possible, might be tight tho

Hoping to squeeze a 3.5 over there if I do go ahead with anything. It sure does look tight though. |
