I need to get my XR out of my driveway and on to a car trailer soonish (yes it is finally happening!) but I have a slight issue of location.
Currently she sits in my driveway, at the bottom of a bit of an incline. I need to know where I can attach a tow rope so I can get her out of my drive, up to the road and then onto a trailer. Here's some pics so we all know what I am dealing with, and no it can't be driven out lol. From the top And from the side Thoughts?

Here's a link to Shaynet's TS50 with tow hooks front and rear (using seatbelt webbing). http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpos...4&postcount=25

That's not what I wanted to hear. Anyone done a "hot to" on removing the front bar?
Not going to be a lot of fun considering the very confined space I have.

Piece of cake Russ...
http://www.fordforums.com.au/showpos...4&postcount=12 shows the top anchor points. The way I did it was to remove road wheels, peel back plastic inner guard, get the midget from next door to get his hand up there to undo the bolts... well, actually I did it, but if there was a midget next door I would have used him. It's not difficult with wheels off/inner guard out of the way. Good luck with it. |

Russ, the proper tow points are on the alloy cross member, shown below:
It's fine to tow by them. Mine's been put on a tilt tray twice by them now. Or you can fit the easy access tow points like i have Cheers

Hmmmm, I can see them there.
Plenty of tow points then. Btw is that where yours was towed out from the fence by?

Those holes you've circled superoo, look like the holes that the factory steel bashguard screws too.
