Default US car auction show on OneHD

There's a US car auction on OneHD from 1pm-2pm (in Melbourne at least). I tuned in a bit late - but there's some nice cars going through - mint condition classics. Pity the last 3 have been GM vehicles

Its not too bad that show, some nice examples of coachwork, and ONE is not bad either, better than watching continuous overnight advertising on the other networks.

Just finished watching it. Was a 2008 Mecum Auction. Some nice beasties.

Especially the $300,000 Yenko 427 Camaro that did not meet reserve.

Happened upon it yesterday and was great to watch ... some of the prices were bloody cheap. Agree with the bloke doing the auction and couldnt work out if cars were sold or past in. Just jibberish .... but some nice cars

How good is that show!!!!
The cars were amazing! one car had a certificate to prove that every part on the car was original, it ended up selling for $225k US.
Top show, it is annoying how the camera spends more time on the crowd and auctioneer instead of the car thats up for sale.

Saw it for the first time yesterday and its great viewing, i think the car in question that went for 225k US was a 69 yanko chevelle ss 427. but dont take my word as gospel, my memory isnt so great.

This show was on the weekend before as well. I could not believe the low prices that some of these vehicles went for, and sold!
There were some 50's-60's pick ups that went for under 10 grand. You wouldn't even pay for the engine let alone all the bodywork for that.
Some very good value cars going through.

Could be made so much better having a mic right up the car as it idles in and out, specially the big blocks.

You can watch the Des Moines Mecum auction live this weekend here ...

http://www.mecum.com/infonet/in_vide...09_071509_week

There are some breathtaking machines in this auction ... like the Shelby Mustang GT 350 Paxton supercharged that's been reassembled after being in a disassembled state in packing cases in a climate controlled garage for over 30 years.
