this may sound silly, but do late model e series share the same steering wheel as an au? i took el (?) xr6 for a test drive today and saw that the wheel and airbag looked simmilar. and can ford factory cruse control be installed in a car that didn't come with it? is it plug and play? Cheers

Cruise control is plug and play, but you need to plug a bunch of stuff in. Anyone (even me) can do it... There's a good tutorial on fordmods.com.
Pretty sure an AU wheel will fit an E-series too.

Said tutorial. Cruise is a LOT harder to put into a non abs car, not impossible but a big effort. |

Hi all I put an EF wheel on my AU Fairmont
they use the same mounts and airbag but the bolts are "torx" on the AU and the cruise and stereo buttons all fitted so no probs with that swap John |
