Hello All,
What parts of the car does the AU ECU control? Does it control the entire car and link into the BEM, Aircon, and intsrument cluster or does it only look after the engine. I am trying to figure out if i could run 2 different ECU's in 1 car |

well basically trying the BA\BF XR6 turbo engine option, i have covered off all areas except the AU ECU area.
so far i can get the engine in and running from the BA/BF ECU, but I need to findout what is controlled from the AU ECU and whether things like the BEM, cluster and aircon etc rely on the AU ECU to be present. I also need to find out if the ECU needs to be present whether or not you can disable the engine features in the ECU to allow it to still run things like the Cluster, BEM and aircon etc. does anyone have a pinout from the AU ECU that I can have a look at to help me along the way. |

well i have managed to find a diagram thanks to RUSS, it looks like the BEM controls pretty much everything in the AU and the ECU hangs off that.
http://www.fordforums.com.au/photos/...hp?photo=55065 Can you get into the BEM and disable the EEC V module? which I am assuming controls the engine? Cheers |

The Second option which is completely different but would an ls1 fit into an AU engine bay?
I am looking to start building something completely different to what people normally do. |

at this point there isn't any reason why not, but the B series engine conversion would be more interesting
