Is this engine factory designed for LPG usage without having to use flashlube etc...
The reason I ask is that the flashlube is no longer being delivered to the engine (dont know why) the bottle stays at the same level. Tried to get it fixed where I got the LPG installed but they are useless and it still will not feed to the engine. BTW 2001 AU Ghia. |

I believe it was only the leaded petrol I6's with alloy heads (XD-XF), and the iron headed I6's that required flashlube with LPG.
I ran my XF for 7 years on LPG with no flashlube system, no problems what so ever. |

Have you got some sort of setup where the flashlube is automatically fed into the engine whilst driving?

The answer is No, you don't need flashlube. Some people use it for peace of mind, but the LPG engines already have hardened vale seat, so valve seat recesssion in these cars is nowhere near as bad as it was in the old leaded engined cars. Would be interesting to know how many cabs run flash lube - my guess would be not many, as it's one more bit of (unnecessary) maintenance they'd be required to perform.
