Yeh ive seen one in an EF... it was a 2500 stally and would constantly go into limp home, could never get the solution so the guy went to a manual. I suspect dodgy install or something was going on but it had the mechanic at his wits ends, went awesome when it worked though! :P

what about disconnecting the wires in the loom that report the status of the box/controller unit and putting those resistors in like you do with a manual conversion?

Aaron has a TCE 2500 converter which stalls up at 2800rpm and flashes over 3000 and he hasnt had any problems yet. However the same stall cause limp home in an EDXR8....Could have something to do with the vortech pushing the stall over 4000rpm

Our transmissions are safe with a flash stall of around 2500 rpm with lockup on the street .With more torque the flash stall speed will be higher. If you plan on going higher expect to use heaps more fuel and get more slippage of the stall.

yeah i put an el comp into my eb, i know its different as your ef has coil pack so you would need and aftermarket fuel/ign computer.
i also tried putting two resistors in to replace signal from temp sensor and it didnt work.
keep in mind i have 2 oil coolers and twin thermo fans on them aswell.

good luck

You can't use a EL ECU in a EF.
