Default Power Steering Hummm

Hey guys, this topic has probably been covered a million times, in dads E-Gas ute recently the power steering is starting to hum as you turn the wheel, as well as it increases with revs, is this a simple as replacing the fluid or will i need to do the pump as well? what should i be looking for?

a top up with fluid will tempoaritly solve the problem.

but what youll find is that your pump is leaking from the high pressure fitting that leads from the pump to the rack.

that fitting needs replacing.

ive found replacent hoses/fittings on ebay for 60 bucks provided you can do the labour yourself. i need to do this to mine. but for the time being add more fluid will do the trick.
