Default Thermostat cover - EF to EA

Damn I feel like I'm post whoring at the moment. But I'm also motivated right now, so I'll keep it up.

2 questions - 1) does the EF top thermostat cover (where the top hose connects) bolt to an ea thermostat housing?
2) Will an XH snorkel fit over the top of an EF top hose without distorting the hose?

I ask because my top hose is now pushing against the thermofans - I'm not thrilled about it and I have to be extremely careful when pulling the fans out.
If the answer to question 2 is no, how hard is it to make up piping to use an EF airbox with a standard mpfi manifold?

use a XH1 top radiator hose :P, you will need the EF style top thermostat housing to run it. it will clear the thermos and the snorkel.
