Default SVO wheel spacers- Why?

I bought an EA with SVO wheels. The front wheels have 3 mm thick spacers between the wheel and the hub. The original wheels and SVO wheels are both 6.4mm offset, so can someone tell me the logic. I would prefer to leave them off unless there is an advantage I don't know of. ciao GT

I am sure they are not factory, hence are illegal, remove them.

With them removed just make sure the wheel doesnt hit any of the suspension.

They used to be fitted years ago to give the vehicle a wider track and look better.

This is strange. I notice they stick out too much at the front even without spacers.

3mm seems hardly worth it?
still, if u can use the wheels without them (can't see why you wouldn't be able to) i'd just leave em off.
