Mines due end of financial year. I'm not sure of the details but this year it will be changed from comprehensive to third party, fire and theft.

Premiums are around $400/year for agreed value of something or other (I honestly can't remember). That's old fart, rating one, no claims forever rates.

Evenin' Gentlemen....

Of the initial two posters here, both are probably within yellin' distance of where I live, also at p/code 4504!

Anyway...back to the point...My '01 AUII Fairmont6 is coming up for renewal.
I've been thinking that I'm paying too much for comp cover.

My Fairmont is liquid silver, lowered at the front, multi-spoked alloys, rear wing and a nudge bar.
I've done quite an amount of work on it, but nothing that you can see, it's all been maintenance stuff to keep it running as well and reliably as I can.
I don't drive it every day (public transport), but the wife sometimes uses it to go locally, it's the weekends that it gets most running.

Anyway, with the front lowered, some of the insurers don't want to know.

Any suggestions?

Anyway, if you see me around p/code 4504, say Hi, you'll recognize me with the sign on my rear window..." Jetflightengineer ". It's actually a play on the commercial company Jetpilot, except I spent most of my working life as a professional Boeing flight engineer, and thought that appropriate. (you had to be there!)

cheers

Hi Ronwest...

It's noticeable, but not to low, remember I've got a wife who drives it a lot!

Well within the legal limit of 100mm, and enough to cause me some grief with having to fit a camber kit to get the front wheels organized!
