After wanting to replace the good old truck spec steering wheel for ages, I finally got around to doing it the other day, as the autobarn 20% off thing was a good opportunity to go down and grab a boss kit (along with some primer, paint etc so I do the mirror covers at some stage, too) so I could fit the nice leather wheel I purchased a couple of days ago. I had recently picked up a clock thats in perfect condition too, along with a high series cluster, so it made sense to do it all at once. Only problem with the cluster though (apart from the fact that it reads an extra 60,000kms more than what the car has actually done , and it's a significant one at that, is that the speed 'lags', i.e. any change in speed will take about 1-2 seconds to be registered by the needle. Obviously this is pretty dodgy, so does anyone know why it'd be doing it and what the best way to go about fixing it would be? Anyway, here are a couple of pics:

But the current one just screams style.
I have considered it though, maybe some scrounging around at local wreckers is necessary; I'd only get one if was considerably cheap.

Looks like that brand issota (spl?), and if it's not, it looks very similar to them...

I got the wheel through ebay from this 'online-depot' store (http://stores.ebay.com.au/Online-Dep...QQftidZ2QQtZkm); it's supposed to look like a momo millenium evo, but I thought it looked good and would suit the car, which I reckon it does, so it worked out well.

Now that you mention it, it does look similar to isotta wheels. It has 'Option Tuning' on the badge, and I've never heard of them before so there are probably a heap of manufacturers mimicking other designs out there

That was the same as the Momo Evo wheel i had on my ED XR6. I just love it mate looks the goods! I also had (still do) a matching Momo auto shifter which matched perfectly...just cost a stupid amount of money...I would say that an EL one would be the go

Loving the steering wheel. Really suits the E-series dash. As for the gear shifter, nothing wrong with the EB shifter. I have one in my EA (much better than the old XF/EA style).

With the cluster, you can switch the odometer/speedo unit quite easily from your old one.
Just makes sure when you pull apart the cluster that you make a note of where all the various length screws go in.
I have had 3 different clusters in my car, and all of them using the original odometer. ;)

Cheers for that spope, moved the old speedo components over today and it works fine now, plus I get my 199ks back instead of 258 :. Happy days. I was almost tempted to take some measurements of the cluster faces with the intent of creating some custom dials etc in photoshop, but perhaps another day, it'd be pretty cool to have a god colour scheme with the club logo incorporated into it somewhere.

The SAAS boss kit is normally $80 or something, but with the discount it came to $64 which is pretty good I think going on what I've seen elsewhere.
