There's no factory looking ones that will fit. You can get small ones from auto stores that may fit in the brake ducts. I have mine behind the grille. The XRs don't really need axtra lights, though, so they're really just for looks, and as far as the AU2 bar goes, it looks better as it is, IMO.

It would be good if the AU XR's came with factory fitted fog light's, but I've never seen anything that look's factory fitted on an XR, I've seen different type's of fog light's but they just don't look the same as if they were a factory fitted item.

Ok.. I've had this idea for a while now, just never had a AU2/3 XR to try it with.

Using a similar idea as the AU1/2 TS50 fog light set up. You'd enlarge the 'duct' holes in the AU2/3 XR bar to a similar size as the AU1/2 TS50 fog light opening (about 140mm wide X 60mm high). You'd have to cut into the bar a little bit to get a nice flat and even hole. Then use a pair of Hella Comet 450 fog lights (OE on the AU1/2 TS50) and mount them behind the cut out, just as the AU1/2 TS50's were done. They do not actually fit inside the cut out on AU1/2 TS50, but behind it. Neat idea, and looks very clean IMO. I've done a quick chop below.

Here's a standard AU2/3 XR front bar.

Here's the same bar but with the duct holes enlarged.

And here's the Hella Comet 450's mounted behind the enlarged holes.

On the AU1/2 TS50's, there's a mounting braket afixed to the bar for bolting the fog lights onto. Don't know how this can be applied to the AU2/3 XR bar though. This would be the.. if you could call it, the hardest bit. How to mount them onto the bar. I haven't seen behind a AU2/3 XR bar to try and make any suggestions. I could take a couple of photos of how the fog lights are mounted on my TS50 if anyone's interested.

012, that is an interesting idea mate - I quite like that. Looks pretty neat in the chop there (interesting to know that the T's used the Comet 450s too). I think it'd be a little difficult to execute however - as I found out when fitting my foggies, there are chassis rails directly over those brake duct openings, so the only way you can enlarge the holes is downwards, which results in getting recessed down into the bottom of the bar. Could be interesting to investigate though.

JC-XRWgn, I have to disagree slightly with your comments - I agree that as far as normal vision (driving lights etc.) the XR's are very well equipped from the factory and with Plus50's in 'em they are more than enough for anything (unless you drive at night all the time for your job or something). But we're talking about fog lights here - no driving or normal beam light is any good in fog - in fact the better your headlights/driving lights are normally, the more detrement they will be in fog. I realise most people just get 'em for looks, and that's unfortunate and rather ricey IMHO (sorry 00VenomXR - nothin' meant by that ) but IMHO they are a very worthwhile safety feature assuming that you buy good ones and install 'em correctly - and that you drive in fog-prone areas sometimes of course.

Anyway, to get back to the topic at hand - mine may not look factory so much, but I like 'em and think they look quite neat. If installing 'em for looks they aren't all that hard to do, but I installed them for functionality so had to focus 'em properly etc. which made the job a bit of a mission, but I'm happy with the result. BTW, they are Hella Micro DE Fog Lights. Just some more food for thought anyway.

Steve.

Sorry that these pics. are so s&#t - I don't have any good ones ATM.
