Default The Converter Shop - Hemmant

Has anybody had any experience with this place?
Been shopping for a 3000stall for the xr8 and of all the places i've called he's been the most expensive. Is the extra $300 worth his quality of product and workmanship? I'd rather pay a bit more for a better product that i'm happy with but don't want to spend it if they're not know to be reputable.
Thanks guys.

I was impressed by their service. I was served by the owner (Geoff Dell IIRC), I didn't know what I wanted so asked him for advice. He wanted to know what cam and diff ratio etc. He had more questions than I did. Turn around time was 3 days for my converter to be modded. I can't recall the price, but yeah - I'm happy.

Cheers!

I order converters from them rather than use locals on this side of the country... And price wise they've always been competitive & much better than Dominator. Excellent turnaround time too.

Slingshot are a Sydney based company with cars running good results . I run one in my soarer , 4600rpm modded factory unit with heavier clutches retaining factory style lockup .

True, so looks like the workmanship is good from him then.
Is $900-$1000 normal for a 3000stall with lock up for the Au Xr8's?

Sweet, cheers for the input guys, looks like he's the man to go to.
And that price was for a new unit altogether for those wondering.
