Default Bilstein/Whiteline Setup for EFII

Does anyone use Bilstein dampers in conjunction with whiteline springs on their EFIIs? Whats the ride and ride height like? Any other spring suggestions?
I'll updating my pedders sportsryder setup in early Jan and can't decide what spring to use - whiteline, lovell or custom springs.

Too many people have criticised the kings for being too stiff and 'go-cart' like so i'd rather steer away from them. My mate has them fitted to his car and it basically slides through corners rather than actually stick - and this is in a relatively light ford laser with good 17" rubber. In order of preference i'm thinking whiteline, lovells or custom springs but i need to do a little more research to determine their respective spring rates. Anyone got any idea??

In regards to shocks i'm very happy with my pedders to date but i wan't something better so i'm going for bilsteins. Not only is their valving alot better but you also have the ability to rebuild them when they get soft. Yeah the Bilsteins initially costs more, but i'd rather spend $70 a strut to regas than fork out $1000 each time the dampers wear out.

i have kings super lows and matched KYB shocks and I LOVE THEM. i race the mountains at least once a week, usually twice and its like glue. my ride is very stiff but thats how i like it and with the decent rubber i picked up a few weeks ago i cant wait to hit those roads.

Whiteline make their own shocks too I think, I've always wanted a complete Whiteline package. However Bilstein and Koni shocks are first rate and I expect you'd be very happy with them. I've got King springs now and one day I want to make the upgrade.

Whiteline don't make their own shocks. They actually source them from KYB (or Koni if you want something better) depending on your application - they find the best to suit their springs.

Bilsteins are more expensive to service than Konis - have you found out a definite price? My Koni Yellows cost 100 the pair to service which is bloody good.

Anyone used Eibach springs before? Just found out these can be used on the Falcons..
My mate had these on his Alfa 156 with Koni shocks and i remember they were pretty good however i'm a little concerned with the achievable height reduction. The maximum drop their springs offer is 2", i don't think its enough for the Fairmont. If i remember correctly the lovell superlows and king superlows offer a 2.5" drop.

I have Eibach springs for my Eunos which are not yet installed. Basically they aim to give reasonably similar ride quality to stock but aren't the lowest or hardest around. If you could get them for Falcons I'd be interested, but it would be the first I've heard of it!

a 2" drop would be very close to s-pac height.

From memory the S was 35mm lower, which is closer to 1". If going as low as possible is the objective, King is the only way to go.

Well I guess springs sag over time then, as my car has not dropped very much with the king lows in it, not that I wanted a big drop anyways with my front spolier.

What do you mean by s-pac height? You don't mean an EA S-Pac do you??

Trouty: With Eibachs being european, and the fact that everyone fits pedders,king, lovell and whiteline springs to falcons it didn't spring to mind to even consider them.. I suppose at the end of the day a spring is a spring

I used Koni shocks when i lowerd my ghia. I dont recall the springs but to say that taking 2" of the ghia made it lower that the s-pac. The koni rode rough around local roads but on highways handled beautifully.

Yeah ea-spac, my ghia came with s-pac front springs (and i am only talking front, as i still have rear sls).

Can't remember where but i read somewhere that the Bilsteins cost $70 each to service so it adds up with what your saying ($140 a pair). What Whiteline springs do you have in your car and what sort of height reduction did you manage to achieve? Pics by any chance?
