Arrow Ugly Centre Console

Hey, The Whole Centre Console In My Ea Looks Like Poo, The Whole Thing Is Faded And Looks Like Its Scratched, I Have Noticed That This Is A Pretty Common Thing Among The Ea's , So Does Any Body Know How To Get It Looking A Little Better?

replace it with a later one, you really cant just "fix" them

i presume yours is the one without the console lid as the later ones werent so prone to scrapeing...

If you were feeling 'artistic' you could use a filler of some description that adheres to plastic/vinyl, sand it back smooth, paint it any colour you want, then gloss it, and then get the lid re-upholsted in leather/suede/whatever.

as parawolf said.. fix up the one you have

You can actually get a 'texture coat' paint, that goes on before the primer and colour.
It will hide the scratches etc and leaves it in close to a factory finish. You'll find people use it on bumber bars etc..

Don't forget the adhesive promoter though

Just use vynall spray (not sure on spelling) u can
buy it anywhere -eg super cheap $10 $14 max
rub it back were the corrosion is , i never undercoat
it & it looks like new, used the stuff on many cars
does not peel or shrink u really have to abuse it
to cause any damage.
