Default front suspension noise (creak)

put new struts in my au a couple of months ago.
all good for first couple thousand k's.

then a noise appreared in the front passenger side, i tightened all nuts n bolts, noise is still there. so i removed the strut, pushed it up and down, all seemed fine so refitted.

took it for a drive, thought the noise may have gone, but the next day its back.

its sounds like something is creaking, pretty much everytime the suspension moves.
i've tried to pinpoint where its coming from by pushing up and down and listening. it sounds like its coming from somewhere near the top of the spring/strut/upper control arm.

anyone got any thoughts?
