Default Cab chassis road trip??

Need to travel Pt Lincoln SA to Melbourne late January. I have a tub on the ute and need it off to install custom built box in Melbourne.

Its illegal to travel cab chassis,

whats my options.
1 put cab chassis onto car carrier$$$ then flying over myself
2 take large trailer and put tub onto that in Melb.
3 dropping tub off at wreckers

whats your options/ideas???

I was able to get a permit in W.A to drive mine to the place of repair without a tray or tub. Maybe South Oz or NSW have the same rules.Business's drive the cab chassis to the body builders in town here so you must be able to get around it Cheers

Why is it illegal to drive cab chassis? Just chuck a plank of wood over the wheels and some basic mud flaps and lights and your good
