Default Name this cam!

I was given a cam today. It is a regrind out of a Ef Falcon.
No# AA97DA6250ABAA5.

97DA would indicate a Hybrid cam to me......i'd stay well clear of it

A hybrid cam in an EF they were only in late EL's

A hybrid can be reground to suite early e-series rocker gear.

Unless the cam profile is stamped on the ends you going to have a tough time working it out.

ok the 97DA is engraved in the cam and so are half the other numbers and letters. The old numbers and letter have been ground off. Anyone have a cam doctor to check it.

maybe it was a standard cam reground to be a hybrid, did the EF have an AU head on it by any chance.

It had a standard 94ab head on it, so it has me stumped. I'll bring it to the cruise tonight and see if anyone can work it out.
