The turquise (green to me) vacuum hose that runs from the heater tap to ? doesnt appear to be working. I can suck and blow on the end that goes to heater valve and have airflow. I have the glovebox out but cant see where that damn vacuum line goes.
Also does anyone have a fix for the broken lever on the passenger side airbox that attaches to a vacuum thingy to open and shut the vent? |

Mate that vaccuum line will go to the panel where your hot/cold and vent controls are, if I remember correctly.
What is it that is broken? I might be able to help you with a very cheap replacement.

I can suck and blow on the hose whenit is disconnected from the unit on the heater hose.
I dont have any heat coming out of vents when climate control is on max and the compressor seems to be always engaged I have replace the unit on heater hose with a new plastic type. Last edited by ; 19-01-2006 at 08:18 PM. Reason: additional inf |

Ive had similar issues with my faimont ghia. I had the heater tap replaced it was stuffed. If the butterfly that shuts the hot water off has a hole in it it will let hot water through all the time, this may warm up your air con. But by the sounds of it your having heater troubles.
Do a diagnostic on the climate control and see if you get any errors. You should be able to find instructions on how to do this in the forums. Its been awhile since i did mine and ive forgotten. Did this on my own car cause the heaters wouldnt work and got an E2, which i believe is blend door failure . I havent tried the heaters since the tap was replaced- its too bloody hot! Other than that check all your vaccum lines i guess. Hope this helps. |

E2 = blend door motor (or blend door itself) , either way it's a whole dash out job to fix the problem.

So I guess its a dash out job.
Is that why the green or turquiose vacuum hose from hot water valve can be sucked and blown and no resistance? |
