Hi Guys,
I have done some searching but not found an answer. Just picked up a 2006 LS Zetec and fixed a few blown bulbs and fuses. When I turn on ignition (before starting the car) I get 6 beeps (or "bongs" similar to the door open noise). There are no errors on the dash. I don't have a OBDII tool readily available but should have access to one in a few weeks, just thought I'd ask if anyone knew what it might be. Some sites I found talk about it being an error with the airbags or crash sensor, or even the airbag light in the dash but they are all talking about earlier models. Thanks in advance. |

A friend mentioned they think this might just be a standard thing on these Focus's. Can anyone with an LS Focus confirm this happens when you start your car?

Yeah its the seat belt warning I think. I've become immune to hearing it.
Does it still happen if you start your car with the seatbelt already in? |

Hi, yeah it's the seat belt reminder. My LT does the same, I'd love to know how to turn it off! In the owners handbook there's a process for turning it off for one ignition cycle. But I'd just like to turn it off, I'm not saying I won't be wearing my seatbelt, at 50yrs old I don't need reminding to wear it every time I turn the ignition on!

if you get in the habit of belting up before turning ignition, it doesn't do it.

I live up in the tropics, trust me the first thing you want to do is start the car to get the a/c going! But yes you're correct.
