this is a dyno comparision of my car (auto, LPG, wade 1004, extractors and exhaust)
vs XRated's (manual, wade 1004, cat back exhaust) i doubt my mid range power advantage is the extractors, the BBM deffinately makes it better down low.

stiddy: do you know if JMM are using it with the butterflies in it still?
while its not a restriction, doesn't mean its the best available. the earlier manifold is more suited to turbo simply due to less i/c piping and rumour has it the ED manifold flows slightly better. adrian vella's turbo EL is running an earlier manifold and his is the fastest eseries turbo that we've heard of.

Im not saying its the best available by any means, but I am saying it would be better over what he has. I agree that the disadvantage would be the lengthy intercooler piping needed to run it, but that would be evened out by the extra/better flow from the BBM imo.. So far the best inlet manifold was a job done by Nizpro, and they do suit E-series, AU's and Ba's.. but theres the same question, WHY? the bbm or even the stock on earlier models flow really well anyway... but for n/a id say the BBM is the way to go.. |

Pulling the butterflies out on a n/a motor sounds very interesting seeing as when you lock the BBM open, which means as good as no butterflies the engine is lucky to rev past 3,800rpm, so I would be interested to see what cam would over come this problem.

if locked on long runners, (butterflies closed) it doesn't like to rev beyond 4000rpm. if its locked on short runners, the car revs fine, just acts like an ED manifold.
