Default Speedo problem

We have a 2007 Focus and the speedo is playing up occasionally. When the car is stationary, the needle was at ~20km. So when driving the needle was about 20km less than what the actual speed was. I have noticed that this issue seems to occur on very hot days.

The speed control sensor appears to be a fault in older Focus but I can't seem to find it being an issue for the 2007.

Does anyone know what the problem could be and how to fix? I want to try and fix myself before getting an auto elec to look at it.

Thanks
