While removing the mini injectors in my falcon today, I found a vacuum hose that appears to have no home.
It is this hose in the picture that is resting on the strut tower: It hangs from under the filterhousing next to another. The other one goes the the white post, but for the life of me, can't find where this one belongs. Somebody must kno?! |

It looks like the hose that runs from the inlet air temperature sensor in the air filter chamber (the round silvery thing, about the size of a 50c piece, visible at about ‘five o’clock’ from the injectors)
It runs to the hot air intake flapper valve on the air cleaner inlet tube (visible on the dusty bit just behind the flexible connection on the air inlet, at about three o’clock from your right hand) |

That's what that is. The valve is a vacuum delay valve. There should be two hoses coming off that vacuum valve in the Air cleaner lower cover and that hose and valve you have shown us goes into that

Hey guys, it's not my engine, nor is that me, it's a picture from the "Head Gasket Replacement" guide on www.deleted link.
Cheers for all your help! |
