Default Just a update

Well the Mickmobile has gotten some recent updates and thought since its 12:58am and i have to work in 7hrs why not :P

Well as some of you saw on AFD, work decided that I should do some work on my own car. This resulted in a full boot installation. Big thanks to jamie from Impressive Audio Designs for the help (some of you might remember his old car IMPRESIV XF turbo?)

Setup consists of
Clarion DPX1500.1 Digital monoblock
Clarion APA Series 650w 4 channel Amp
Pair of Clarion Pro Audio XW Series 12" Subs
Aerpro 1Fd Capacitor with LED readout
Full Stinger Cabling

The whole thing was done over two days and really hammers. Ask either EDXR6T or JJM what its like :P

After doing this it resparked my interest in the car. So it was time for a change. Ive just fitted Full leather ED Ghia seats with dootrims. Ive also removed the Digital Fairlane cluster and gone back to the Spack as the no Oil pressure gauge is very anoying and im sick of people trying to pinch my gauges.

Last couple of weeks ago john_xr6, Fairmont_EL and I fitted a very tight 3:23 LSD as the old 3:23SS was too flogged to be used :P MMmmm LSD is good

The next thing I am wanting to do is to respray the car as the paint looks worse then a Lada Nivea that has been painted with house paint. I have discovered resprays are really expencive :( But it has to be done.

Ill be posting pics as soon as i can remember

I didn't actually see the boot install at AFD and surprisingly I didn't get a photo (I seemed to take a photo of everything else damn it!).

Can someone please post one up?

Mick, that is an impressive boot install. Looks great!!!!!

Gotta fix that boot rattle ;)

EDIT - Just out of interest, how much would a boot install like that cost, including labour, excluding the audio gear??? Just the setup. I can guess how much you paid :P

LOL bootrattle? now that its tuned the whole damn car rattles lol. Ive spoken with work about this actually in regards to prices. For the boot install itself with no audiogear would be around $500 - $600. Depending on what exactly we do mainly. That does include the perspex and subbox I believe. If anyone is interested i can get definite information.

Oh steve, the playstation with headrest mounted TFT screens and Clarion single din DVD reciever will be all going in about 2mths. Just awaiting the clarion rep to visit the store to let me know
