I sure don't regret the fact that I no longer ski behind those boats. Most of the guys that I skiied against as a kid are dead or fubar now.

well, the guy was coming around the hairpin near winbi, got too much slack on the rope, fell forward in shallow water, hit shallow bottom of river, broke neck, spectators ran in and took him to the bank, a nurse did CPR on him for 25 mins til paramedics arrived but was anounced dead. :

so did he have a heart attack. Coz i got a friend in SES and they had a press conference that night about it or sumfin and he told us he had a heart attack. Maybe thats why he got so much slack.

Poor guy. Feel for him and his family.

And I know that his family are feeling it really badly too.
His old man is a good mate of mine.

But they are trying to look on the bright side, that he went doing what he loved.
Doesn't make it any easier tho...

Thanks Matt.
Honestly, I can only imagine to a certain degree too, never having been thru something like that personally.
I know his dad very well, but only knew his son from the half-a-dozen or so times that I seen/met him. I found out from his dad on the morning after (Sunday), and he's 'struggling' is probably the best way to describe it right now, having spoken to him again this morning.

I'll pass on your thoughts to mate.
Cheers.
