Unhappy 5ltr keeps stalling when put into drive

has a rough idle and stalls when in drive but o.k if you keep your foot on the accelerator to keep the revs up. anyone got any advice? what could be the problem?

is idle speed controller still connected?
checked for vacuum leaks?

It is usually one of the two EFFalcon mentioned.

You can test both of these. Finding the Vacc leak could be the hardest. First I'd check the hoses for cracks.

rough idle would indicate a vac leak before idle speed controller.

thanks guys it was a vacuum leak must have knocked a hose off while installing some mechanical guages
