Join the club! Talk to anyone you can find that builds them. Keas, Preston, Yarra Valley, etc. They will probably want to know what cam you're running and some dyno sheets so they can work out what stall you need.

You probably won't have to go too crazy on toughened internals in the auto so I reckon you're on the money with your budget.

P.S. Spotted on chapel!!

IF you can scrape together another $1500 PAR Engineering do a Dogset, billet imput shafts for a T5, $4500 they want for it, cheaper if you pay cash..
Even though you get a 10,000k warranty he claims that you will never break it, no matter how much power you put through it..

Going an Auto, almost a stock BTR, will handle the power with shift kit and big oil cooler..

John what were you doing down at chapel lol, Doing your chap laps hehe. I want a gear box thats gonna hold aorund the 300rwkw and not have to worry that the box is gonna blow up on me, dogset gears make the car to hard to drive on the street so not really interested in that stuff but thanx anyway mate. If i have never had my car dynoed tuned is that gonna be a problem with the trans places.?

Got a tacho? Drive the car at 3/4 throttle (maybe 3rd gear from about 40kph). Feel when the power (cam) kicks in, note tacho reading accurately. Add about 300 rpm to that, and get that stall. its not scientific, but if you feel the cam and note the rpms, your stall should be a good match.

Yeah mate, was still wide awake after calder so I went for a cruise... Did you see that Bresciani VL on chapel with front runners and slicks? WTF?

I'd just turn up somewhere and get a power run, more scientific. If you have a power figure in mind that will help- they will need to make some decisions about planetaries and input shafts etc based on how much power you have.

I dont really wanna put it on a dyno yet cause that box wont last on the dyno, its gonna spit the gears out. Im running to much nitrus for the gear to handle and once i get an auto in i wanna put a bigger shot in as well i no my engine can handle it but not the manual gear box. John i didnt see the Bresciani's VL there what was he doing, dont tell me laps on chapel lol, John You should have gave me a call and came cruising with us down dandy hwy, heaps of cars doing there runs down that way lol

Huss what are you doing! For that money speek to Mal Wood and get a TKO 5 speed, It will handle 600hp whicj is around 450kw. Auto are not fun! After yesterday seeing at Heatcote a C10 lock up half tarck and nearly sent a XY into the wall, only some good driving saved it.

if you can do the gear box swap youself like gunns and svo347 said get the tko 5speed and also you can choose wide or close ratio on the 5th gear . if you can't swap it yourself i hve been quoted for 5k installed .
