AFAIK, if you dont cut any metal out from the chassis to do so (ie cut a hole in the metal below the aribox) then it should be fine.

TECHNICALLY, your only allowed one intake mod, and being that you will have two, then it won't be legal. You won't get picked up on it though, as the tickford snorkel looks standard. I wouldn't really worry too much about it, if a cop wants to canary you then he will find something else anyway...

Yes it is illegal and will require an engineers certificate to cut through the guards. Cops down here have been cracking down on this lately and i know several people who have got stung for cutting holes for their intercooler piping.
How are you setting it up e.g. are you keeping the original airbox, adding the pod inside it and having the pipe come up through the bottom of the airbox? If so then i couldnt see it being a problem as the hole is hidden by the factory airbox which will make it look all stock and neat. I couldnt see cops combing over a falcon too harshly they leave that to imports and commodores with stockies... |

i was gunna relocate the relay and come up through there into the front of the airbox. and im gunna cut the extra piece of piping out ot the airbox lid and get a better panel filter, somewhere between k&n and ryco.

i presume you mean you're going to have an opening in the bottom of the airbox, witha pipe going down to the cornering lamp hole.........
paint the pipe black, no-one will see it..... |

As above, paint the pipe black, do the work nice and neat, don't do one of those butcher jobs just to make it fit. You do it properly and take your time, the COPS will not pick it.
Remember to cover the opening of the intake pipe behind the fog lamp with a bit of flyscreen or security mesh, it will prevent all the grime built up inside your air-box. Avoid big puddles too.

You only really get picked on and done for intake mods on Forced Induction cars, COPS dont even worry about the NA cars and their air intake mods.
