You blokes are champions. Just bought a new (to me) AUII XR8 ute and none of the remotes were working, even with new batteries.
Got replacements, no instructions. Come to these forums and all sorted, cheers. |

I had to use an original remote to start the reprogramming sequence.

If you go accessories and then hit demister within the three sec as said wait then the doors will lock and then hit the remote lock and unlock ( both if needed ) then turn car off that's it guys not really hard ( for two three and four button )

Remotes will, but the key is also chipped so you'd have to get it programmed to the au's bcm

My first post, so take it gentle
Programming Ford AU2 Ute Remotes This is how I succeeded. Using and combining all I could find on the net Disconnect battery and leave overnight, 1-2 hours could be ok Connect battery The SECRET. Ute interior light must be working and the light switch in the position that switches the light on when the door is opened ????? Ask MR Ford. This was the step that stuffed me and is needed to go into learning mode. 1. Then sit in car with door closed ,open and close the door, interior light will come on. 2. Turn the ignition to the ACC position and press the rear demist button 3 times, within 5 seconds. 3. You then press a button on the first remote to be trained , the door locks will cycle. 4. Then press a button on the 2nd to be trained and the door locks will cycle again. 5. Repeat this step for the the rest of the remotes to be trained to the car. 6. The first keypad trained will result in one door lock cycle, the second will result in 2 door lock cycles, and so on. CHEERS BILL J |

I've got a 98 AUI wagon amd got a single button remote, as I was told that is the one for a wagon.
I went to programme it, the locks cycled, hit the button on the remote and got nothing. Hit it again and still nothing. Removed the key and tried again from the start. Kept trying this I was ready to hit the dash 3 times within 5 seconds.... Cheers in advance. Turned the car off, removed the key amd tried the process again, but this time, I couldn't get the locks to cycle
