Default 20b EF Drag Car

Some of you may have heard about it, up in sydney.
an EF XR fitted with 20b Rotary, not sure how quick it is but looks fairly pro

eb six on boost may know more about it as he was at the meet where i found these pics.

anyway... looks pretty good until it lost a door 1/2 track

thats great! however, cue the other people that will say they've made a ford worse just cos there's a rotary in there. looks very trick and its awesome to see drag bodies in the form of late-ish model cars, especially e-series. theres a 6 sec 20b in the states so the engine is not to be laughed at.

What times is it pulling? Looks pretty serious. And for it being powered by a rotary...good on them! It's something differnt.
Just watched the video and it's as if that door is shot out!!! :

Its run a best time of 8.0 or somthing around 180mph !
Still testing really at this stage! Should see low 7s or better!

The 20b isn't that small, and it's probably got a few turbo's to eat up a bit more space.

20B's are amazing engines. I assume they've moved away from the sequential REW setup found on the cosmo... even in stock trim they've got the kind of torque to make big block V8's a little nervous...

And the sound... aint nothing in the world that sounds like a triple rotor...

Sucks to be the ute lining up next to it...
