well its pretty dumb IMO. not that i live and that country and really care but each time one gets burnt the TAX PAYER foots the bill for it to get replaced and also foots the bill for the workmen to do it.
so yeah its a really good idea to destroy government property. |

Speaking of vandalised cameras, has anyone noticed the red light camera on the Neapan highway in, oh, Brighton, that's got yellow paint all over it? It's been like that for ages. |

painting them is quicker and easier than lighting them.

Not as good as the one I saw of a car snapped doing 20-30 k's over the limit. Good thing for him was, a crow was flying between him and the camera when the pic was taken, and blocked the number plate!

The problem is they put the bloody things in the areas that will yield the most revenue ie long straight roads in the middle of nowhere instead of urban areas, outside schools & the like where road safety is paramount, I live in a 20mph zone near a school that the local ricer twats use as a race track & I've never seen a copper doing anything about it or even a mobile camera van. as a UK tax payer I'd rather see one out of action on the open road than get caught by it, good value for money I reckon! (I like the ones on the 3rd page the best!) Last edited by mad machs; 26-02-2005 at 10:58 PM. |

A bloke I know spent a few weeks over there last year and he couldn’t believe the amount of speed and red light cameras they have. The government has gone out of control with those bloody things and the vandalism in only a reflection of how fed up the general population is with them. We still have it reasonably good here because they are still pretty easy to spot, at least in NSW they have warning signs. Time will tell if the same sort of thing happens here.
Cheers, Danny
