Default Field Campaign

HI

I bought a 2000 Au II sedan and noticed a small sticker inside drivers door that has printed on it "Field Campaign" "Ford" it also has a reference no. and a completion date on the sticker. Can anyone tell me what this sticker signifies. I'm guesing my car was used in some sort of Ford promotion campaign.

Field campaign is a fancy name for recall. The AU's were recalled for a spot weld to be dabbed on the bolts holding the steering rack on.

There was also one a throttle cable, not many models though from what I understand.

If you give us the number, someone will probably tell you tonight what is was for!!

Welcome to the forum!

Depends on the model, my AU1 only has one, the AU2 only has one as well. I don't think I've missed one for it because when I was getting a key recoded at Ford they checked and said it was all done.

If you ring Ford and give them the vin and rego, they'll be able to search the computer for you!

Here is a handy link to motor recalls. JC provided it one other time if I recall correctly.

Thanks JC if I have recalled correctly, sorry to the other fella if I didn't recall correctly! LOL! Sorry about the recall puns! LOL!

When you get to the site, just use the "next" button to scroll back through the recall history, very interesting reading indeed!
