EA MPI Manual does 15.5 quarter stock.. according to wheels mag back when the EA was new anyway..

Yeah 5speed EA MPI would be quicker, both in accleration and top speed terms.

The RS6 was beaten in 2003 by the 350kW 700Nm E55 AMG. Actually, beaten is the wrong word, demolished would be more appropriate. The S65 AMG was released in 2004.

I read an article when the EA was released it compared the EA to a VH pacer and the final quote was if the EA motor was put in the VH body it would be lucky to break 150 kph, where it improved on the pacer was in aerodynamics, remember the valiant had the aerodynamics of a brick. COME ON GUYS LETS GET AN END TO THIS THERE ARE PLENTY OF CARS OUT THERE THAT ARE FAST!! BUT WHO CAN REALLY AFFORD THEM? :evilsasmo

hey peedee, not one of us would buy one, but who cares, its called a discussion. thats what forums are for. otherwise there would be a thread called "Greastest Car in the World, but its worth $1,000,000 and none of us could afford one so who cares"

Whats you point? Run what you brung. If the Valiant has poor aerodynamics then how is that the fault of an EA?

The aero wouldn't make that much difference to the quarter mile. I don't know where they got the 150kph figure from (I can guess though), but more power is more power, gear it right and the car will go faster, an EA MPI is a lot more powerful than a VH Pacer. Without looking up the figures it sounds like the VL n/a would be a little bit slower but the EA was faster - not a bad rap for the Valiant though given it took over 20 years. Anyone got the figures for a 5sp XF?
