Default Bad News For Dial-up Listeners

Cruize Radio has gone 48k/44.1Hz MP3pro streaming.

We have also made a change to our music format. As of today we are programming rock.

Hard rock, soft rock, classic rock.......and a smattering of blues, but pretty much mostly rock.

There are several reasons for this, but with such a big change to the way we do things I thought a post about it would be fair warning to our occasional dial-up listeners, such as Mother Nature.....sorry Lisa.

Not pre-recorded, but it was on auto playlist, while I'm doin' the family thing. I'm working on the coding for a 'Now Playing' section and online requests.

Sorry mate, I had to make a decision on the direction of the station and it was the best way to go.

We have adjusted the stream to 48k/44.1Hz MP3pro encoders now, meaning it is still a very nice quality sound, but MAY give dial-up listeners a chance, depending upon their connection speed at the time.
