they left the bare minimum in it so they could still drive it to dispose of it.
looks more like an EF ghia then a XR, i don't think XR's came in that colour.

Drive it? Theres no throttle body there but....

Oh and if thats an XR then shouldn't there be holes in the bonet from the spolier being removed?

it isnt an xr, has pas airbag, steering wheel definantly isnt xr could be a series 2 ef ghia, also has pin striping down the sides

i think he meant boot lid.
pretty certain it'd be an EF II ghia.

you could get passenger airbag on XR's, how ever everything else points to Ghia, they've prolly just listed as XR due to engine.

I'm surprised they left the bootlid!

BTW, If you look closely, it looks like there are some small holes above the rear numberplate. I'd say they belonged to the chrome strip which would indicate Fairmont.

My EF2 XR6 has passenger airbag, but yeah defiantly a fairmont. Probably took out the 3.45LSD and put a 3.08SS in there too...

Should have seen the VY calais at Pickles the other week. This thing had obviously been taken somewhere 'safe' and stripped by pro's because everything was done properly. the whole car had fingerprint dust all over it LOL. It was a rolling shell except for the engine block although the supercharger had been removed.

Its listed as a repairable wireoff, thats a new motor!

it is repairable but i dont think anyone would bother.
im suprised the grill is still there...they fetch a fair penny.
