Default Fuel Reg problems...

This is not my car for once! :voldar02: its my Mums EA ghia.

I was working on it today to discover while the car is running, If i touch the Fuel return line at all, I mean even move it slightly the car dies? Does this mean the fuel reg is screwed? as if you touch it while the car is running the revs change.

thanks

unless you got a horrible fuel leak or your pump is stuffed i reckon it would be the reg.

thats weird as. is the fuel line pretty worn? I've seen a car where the inside of the hose had deteriorated and as it was kinda peeling it was blocking fuel flow and subsequently the car was running on about 90psi fuel pressure not 39 like it was supposed to have
