1) Yes it will (with the addition of the selection rod)
2) Not much ($10 from wreckers)
3) No idea

i have an ef t-bar in my ed... yes it does fit... but you will need to get a longer rod, what i did was get a tube of steel the same thickness cut is a little bit bigger then the standard one...(forgot how much longer now) and i also had to put a slight bend into the rod, as per original rod so it worked without any drama's

have had that in my car for about a year now and works perfectly, and looks much nicer then the early e-series t-bars

i tried to put my eF one on teh other day and this is correct, the EF rod is the same length as the EA-D one.

My EL's T-bar was immaculate and I think I got over $30 for it, whereas this ex-taxi EF one went for about $15 on Ebay. I've heard of the DL ones going for $600+ new from Ford.

You can get EF/EL T-bar's on eBay I think, I purchased one of Jack which is in dad's EA and I got a really nice NL Fairlane one with chrome button for like 50 dollars for my car, brand new, postage extra, but not much.

I think it's vinyl actually, not leather leather :( It's a really nice shade of dark gray and the chrome button makes it look very posh, also goes with my headunit.

They are extremely simple to install. Just unscrew the old one and screw the new one on. I just used a piece of threaded rod to make mine when I had my EB.

Yeah, a bit of force counter clockwise to get them off, then clockwise to put on I think, that rod is really the hardest part, getting the length right.

Unscrewing is easy, trust me, I have no skills either when it comes to cars. Just use some force and your current t-bar will just unscrew off. Counter clockwise

The rod is a bit tricky, I had mine made by a guy in Sydney when I bought my EF Bar, I can take a picture of it if you want to give you an indication of size? But I don't have my old EB rod, I sold it

Thanks for your help but I just dont get it.. Maybe im a bit slow on the uptake. Those rods in the picture do they go inside the the level stick thing that the t bar sits on? I am afraid I need a step by step guide with diagrams.

the stick just goes in, you don't have to screw it in

lol just grab the t-bar and spin it anti clock wise, wont do any harm and can easily be put back on:P then you'll better understand what all of us are going on about

and there'll be a rod in the barrelit's just sitting there so you can just pull it out and installation is the reversal only thing is you need to make the rod slightly longer,

not a big job (provided you have the right tools to make your own rod)

I think I understand now. The internal rod needs to be longer to fit inside the EF handle?

yeah cause the eb one isnt long enough and wont have the ef button pushed put you need the rod longenough to atleast have the rod pushed out but not so long so it permanantly depresses the selecter switch and the tbar moves freely

basically you just need to make it 15.6cm long with a slight bend about the same height as the standard one and you'll be set
