Default Just bought a new fairmont ghia!

..Its a great looking Silver 1990 model EA 2 Ghia! In great shape inside and out, everything works perfectly..will have pics of it up as soon as i get it on thursday arvo..im really stoked right now, a ghia is what iv'e always wanted besides an LTD but they are so damn rare and usually overpriced..and a LWB is even harder to park..

Sounds like a good car! Gotta love a 1990 EAII Ghia, particularly in silver!

But enjoy your new vehicle and most important, drive safely!

My exhaust was a bargain. I picked it up second hand for about $80. It adds a tiny bit of power but in all honesty, it's not much. It cost a bit more to get it fitted, but I forget how much.

As for the EBII climate control and trip computer, the difference is mostly visual. It replaces the ugly grey buttons with nicer black ones. The only real functional mod is it now has an ambient button, which displays the outside temperature, and give more feedback on the screen. They're easy to swap over (just don't get an ED climate control unit as it won't work)

Here are the two units:

Excuse their dirtiness. Here it is a bit cleaner and with the dash together.

It still works but I don't have a clutch switch, meaning I have to avoid using the clutch while cruise control is set! Otherwise the revs climb while the clutch is in! Doesn't worry me too much though.

It's weird but none of the EA Ghias have the badge on the driver's door trim, just the passenger. Even still, there are heaps of Ghias at the wreckers, so if you want a second badge, it'll be easy enough to find
