Default DESIGN A LOGO for OzE Cruisers...

With the launch of the OzE Cruisers club, we need to establish ourselves a clear brand identity.
What better way to do this then to run a competition to come up with the best designs possible.

So what will we want / need???
In terms of design freedom the sky is the limit really, however you should keep the following things in mind.
- Design must include the club name. ie Ozecruisers.
- Design may also include (doesn't have to) club "Tagline"
- Colours to be blue and white (actual shading will be the entrants decision)
- Design must be original, and readily identifiable from a reasonable distance
- Consideration should be given to how the logo will be best displayed. Design must translate easily enough to stickers for side / rear windows / letterheads / shirts / other merchandising etc
- Designs that incorporate other trademark logos (eg ford oval) should be avoided if at all possible, unless designer is prepared to arrange for the rights to reproduce the trademarked logos for club usage.

Tagline
The tagline will help to be a bit of an extra descriptor to help outsiders learn more about the club, in a single sentence. It is intended to use the tagline in addition to the club logo on club correspondence, and other marketing items.
A few possible suggestions may be as follows
The 88 - 98 Ford Owners / Enthusiasts Club
Covering Aussie Fords from E/N/D to END.
The definitive E.N.D. Series Ford Club
88 - 2 - 98
The EA - DL Ford club

Or something even more creative.

When does it need to be submitted??
All entries should be posted up into this thread. Entries should be posted at resolutions no larger then 1024 x 768 (with a larger version 2000 x 1500 available on request. ie make your designs BIG, but post up a smaller size in here only) Entries to be submitted no later then midnight Sunday 25th November.

What's in it for the Winner???
The winner will receive free membership for 12 months to the OzE Cruisers club (will be either Full or associate membership depending upon whether winner owns constituent vehicle)

Sticker size for rear window should be about 50-60cm x 6cm or so to fit nicely I think.
Could be shorter of course

This logo will be added into the top of the OzECruisers forum section?

Well, i've always been crap at photoshop, and I suffer from a severe lack of imagination... But i'll get the ball rolling with a quick image I created.

Critisim welcome :P

oOoOo I might actually attempt a 'drawing' type of design. I won't be able to get it done any time soon, so hopefully this thread stays for awhile to give me some time.

Dont use photoshop to create a logo, use Illustrator as its a lot better for this kinda thing. I might have a shot a bit later.

whiteEF2: Draw it up and scan in/post it and I'll redraw it for you in Illustrator.

We will also have the web site address of www.ozecruisers.com.au so feel free to incorporate that in the design.

Just a question...

Will there be only the one design sticker available?

It would be good to have at least two available for those who want some choice or more than one sticker.

Tis a bit hard to design stickers, and other club merchandising without first establishing a clear cut brand identity, so will worry about that later.

We will still be hosting the forums on here, but will have a website that is more about the club and activities and why you would want to join. The site will contain a direct link back to here for forum discussion.

Edit: Exact content/layout of the new club website is yet to be determined.
